  Beware. I was hoping for something a little different when it came to chicken strips but this place was even worse than I expected.
  
  The chicken strips only come one way there is no such thing as spicy or anything other than plain dipped chicken strips.
  
  The side dishes and other items are all carbohydrate-based. French fries and Texas toast.
  The only other option is coleslaw. So essentially there's two sides french fries and coleslaw.
  
  Forget getting a choice of dipping sauce, they only have honey mustard and they're special sauce both made with mayonnaise..... no barbecue or anything else.
  
  Don't waste your time.  Stick with one of the competitors where you know what you're getting and they give you choices.
  
  I walked out without purchasing anything and I definitely will not be back.

  I have to say after waiting for months for the lakewood location to open that it is a major disappointment.  Everything is SUPER salty.   Saltier than the saltiest fries I've ever had.  
  
  A manager asked how things were and I told her about how it was way too salty.  She said next time to order no salt.  Is there middle ground here?
  
  Best thing about the meal was the coleslaw.  It was the only thing that wasn't completely saturated in salt.  Even the Texas toast tasted of salt.
  
  Also, something was up with the soda.  The coke didnt taste right.  Cant put my finger on what was wrong with it.... just tasted different.

  I finally visited Raising Cane's a year after they opened in Cleveland (in Strongsville). This location opened in August 2018. They will be opening another Cleveland location in Lakewood next month (September 2019).
  
  HISTORY -- I'm very familiar with Raising Canes having grown up in Columbus, Ohio. There is a Raising Canes right on the campus of The Ohio State University close to the football stadium. So, I've eaten their chicken fingers, fries, and garlic toast before.
  
  Raising Canes is a sponsor of OSU Athletics so they definitely get busy on game days (Columbus, Ohio). I have fond memories of getting their food often while I was an OSU student so I'm happy that they are now located in Cleveland.
  
  FOOD -- The menu is very simple. A meal includes chicken fingers, fries, and garlic toast. The only difference comes in the quantity of chicken fingers that you want. You can also buy things separately instead of in the traditional combo. I think the food is tasty for a fast food joint. The fries could definitely be more crispy. The famous sauce is really good so I recommend dipping some chicken or fries into the sauce.
  
  INSIDE -- This store was very clean when I visited which was nice to see. I love all the intricate and unique photos and details on the walls. I especially like the picture of the owner's dog which highlights the story of how Raising Canes restaurant got their name (see my attached photos to this review).
  
  Overall, I'll be back mostly because I have always visited Raising Canes back in my university student days. I plan to visit the Lakewood location when it opens instead of driving all the way to Strongsville.

  I'm gonna keep it a buck with this review...all the hype, and waiting in lines I heard went on, this place seriously didn't do one single thing for me. Don't get me wrong the idea is everything, they specialize in chicken tenders, DASSIT, and that's fine but it's legit just an upper class Guthrie's with more locations if you ask me. I ordered a 3 tender basket that came with fries, Texas toast and sauce and a drink. My tenders breading was falling off at every touch, there was no seasoning, I felt like I was just eating some chicken that was fried without the breading. They have crinkle cut fries, but again they were soggy, almost not fully cooked. The Texas toast didn't have one solid hint of garlic or butter so it was just a slice of bread, my sanity remained with the canes sauce which was really good but they give you such a small container. I AM A DIPPER! for the hype and the wait and the anticipation I received for this place I was seriously let down. The establishment wasn't even tidy, the tables needed a serious wipe down and the floors were sticky. If you're gonna claim you're the best in the chicken business would it kill y'all to use some spice or seasoning or give variety?! I'll stick with my Popeyes or kfc...
